Casita Colibri

Casita Colibrí (‘Hummingbird Cottage’ in English) got its name because of the special way it seems to attract birds.  It’s located at the entrance of Cloudbridge Nature Reserve, alongside the Chirripó Pacifico river.  There is an upstairs bedroom with a queen bed and downstairs is a kitchen dining area.  The porch overlooks a sloped garden and is a fantastic bird watching spot; over 70 species were seen in one 3-day stay, all from the porch.  The shower and washroom have hot water and a private view of the valley.  A hummingbird-rich bush just outside the bathroom window will keep you entertained while you scrub.

Guests in our rental casitas have full access to the reserve, including our private research trails.  Thank you for staying at Cloudbridge, all proceeds from our rentals directly support our important research and education projects.

Colibrí is a great romantic getaway.  The upstairs bedroom with queen-size bed feels like a safe perch looking out over the forest.

The kitchen dining area has a fridge and 2 gas burners for cooking.
The equipped kitchen has a fridge and an induction stovetop, and shares space with the dining area.
The kitchen dining area has double doors that open out onto the covered porch, so that you can enjoy the forest and wildlife views and be comfortable even under the hot sun or in heavy rain.

Rate: $85 per night (2 night minimum stay) or $500 for a week based on double occupancy, $15 per person for additional people.
