Viewed from Cloudbridge South, the verdant mountain
slope of Cloudbridge North displays patches of former pasture, some secondary
forest and the primary forest behind, and beyond. These "lower montane" forests
of Costa Rica's Talamanca range are dominated by oaks (quercus spp.
) but include other tall hardwood trees including huge cedars, elms and
laurels.
