All houses are situated in the private Cloudbridge Nature Reserve, and you will have full access to the 250-hectare reserve area.  Maintained hiking trails lead directly from your doorstep to a variety of waterfalls. Staying at Cloudbridge is a perfect base for watching birds, including the Resplendent Quetzal and the Ornate Hawk Eagle. You might see monkeys or a peccary, or enjoy a night hike with the biologist to look for rare frogs.

Cloudbridge relies on micro-hydro power and drinking water from a nearby spring. Guests are welcome to join researchers in their studies, or to help with the reforestation project. There is an art studio on the property for art lovers, featuring works by a well-known Canadian artist depicting the trees and animals of the cloud forest.
